Adobe After Effects CC and CS6 creates stunning cinematic visual effects and high-end motion graphics. Once you dip your toes into the world of video editing, VFX, broadcast TV, web TV or designing for devices, After Effects becomes a must-learn.
In this class you'll learn how to create motion graphics and visual effects used for broadcast, film, online content and mobile devices.
Adobe After Effects CS6 has added many performance boosters allowing you to meet your deadlines faster. There is a new 3D engine (supporting fully ray-traced text and shapes) for extrusions, a 3D camera tracker, variable mask feathering and support to convert Illustrator (or EPS) vector art into shape layers. After Effects is also used for green screen editing. See how to take live video, shot on a green screen background, drop out the green and replace the background with new video or a still image.
Many people ask, what is the difference between Premiere and After Effects? The answer is this: Premiere does hard-core video editing, shortening clips, replacing audio, simple transitions, multi-camera editing and export of your final work.
Adobe After Effects is the "ooh and aah" application that allows you to integrate moving video with still or animated effects, such as titles, 3D-motion graphics, filters that can create radio waves, particles, distortion and shatter effects.
At roundpeg we try to teach the latest version, but if you haven't upgraded yet, all classes cover features that will work in earlier versions of After Effects. The instructor will let you know if you are seeing something that is new to CC.
This Introduction to After Effects is designed for beginners, especially those of you who love visual effects. At the end of the live 2 hour eClass you will have a basic understanding of how to use After Effects and be able to incorporate what you have learned into your own projects. We recommend you work along with the instructor and bring questions. Class time 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. (Pacific time.)
All roundpeg eClasses are RECORDED for playback & practice. Class files are provided for download, so you can work along with the instructor, or practice after, to re-enforce topics learned.
